Sportsmanship & Support
Our club is committed to providing an environment in which people are treated fairly and equitably and that is, as far as practicable, free from all forms of discrimination, harassment and bullying. If you have any concerns please contact your team captain in the first instance.
Code of Behaviour
-
Play within the rules and the Spirit of Cricket, in a spirit of sportsmanship and fair play
-
Show respect for and cooperate with your opponents, teammates, captain and the umpires. Without them there would be no competition
-
Respect the decisions of the umpire; never criticise by word or action (dissent) those decisions. If you disagree, only your captain, coach or manager may approach the umpire in an appropriate manner during a break or after the game
-
Exercise self-control. Verbal abuse of officials or opponents, and sledging other players, deliberately distracting or provoking an opponent are unacceptable and not permitted behaviours in cricket. Further, there is no place for any act of violence on the field of play
-
Work equally hard for yourself and your teammates. Your team’s performance will benefit and so will you
-
Treat all other participants in cricket as you like to be treated. Do not bully or take unfair advantage of another competitor
-
Respect the rights, dignity and worth of every person regardless of their gender, ability, cultural background or religion.
